Scheduling is usually taught the wrong way.
Most schedulers learn fragments on the job for years. There's a faster path.
- Dense theory, no practiceA 500-page manual teaches you to pass a test, not to build a schedule.
- Software clicks, not conceptsKnowing which menu to open doesn't mean you understand what P6 is computing.
- No clear path to masteryMost schedulers piece it together on the job — which works, but takes years.
- Hands-on from lesson oneEvery concept comes with a live network. Change a duration, add a dependency — you see the effect immediately.
- Understand the math, then the softwareYou'll get better at P6 by knowing what it's computing, not by memorizing the interface.
- A structured path to a credentialEach unit builds on the last. No gaps, no guessing what to learn next.
Who it's for
Students & new grads
Get ahead before your first project. Understand CPM before you have to explain it to a client — or a GC.
Activity A has duration 5 and starts day 0. What is its Early Finish?
Field engineers & supers
Making the move to scheduling? This is the missing piece. Real concepts, not just software-clicking.
Working schedulers
Fill the gaps. Finally understand why P6 does what it does when you add a lag. It follows the math.
Studying for a credential
Preparing for the PSP (AACE) or PMP/PMI-SP (PMI)? Tiebar covers the CPM fundamentals tested on scheduling credentials — no exam shortcuts, just solid understanding.
Exam Prep mode raises the pass threshold and replays cards you struggled with — nothing slips through before exam day.
How Tiebar works
Interactive lessons that build on each other
Every concept comes with a live network you can manipulate. Change a duration, add a dependency, find the critical path — you see the effect immediately. No passive reading.
Activity B has ES = 3 and LS = 7. What is its total float?
TF = LS − ES. B can slip 4 days without delaying the project finish. Activities on the critical path have TF = 0.
A daily challenge to keep your instincts sharp
One timed forward-pass puzzle every day — the same network for everyone, seeded from the date. Fill in Early Start and Early Finish, earn stars, share your result.
A clear path, tracked as you advance
Your home screen shows a Gantt of your own learning path. Each lesson is a bar; the data date moves forward as you complete them. Complete units to climb the tier ladder.

Questions
- Is it free?
- Yes, during open beta. We haven't decided what paid tiers will look like yet, but early users will get a good deal.
- Do I need P6, Asta, or any scheduling software?
- No. Tiebar teaches the underlying concepts — CPM, float, critical path, relationship types. The software is just the tool; this is the understanding. You'll get better at P6 by knowing what it's computing.
- Is this only for construction?
- Tiebar is built around construction projects and uses real construction examples throughout. The CPM concepts apply anywhere, but the vocabulary and context are construction-first.
- How long are the lessons?
- Most lessons run 5–10 minutes. The daily challenge takes under 3 minutes. There's no time pressure in lessons — go at your own pace.
